I was born and raised in Karachi. I am a father of three young school-going children. Before entering political life in 2013, I was a successful small business owner operating a chain of fast-food restaurants in Karachi.
However, living in Karachi and witnessing the decay of the physical infrastructure and the lawlessness, I believed that I could no longer sit on the sidelines and needed to be part of the political system to bring positive change. I decided to contest for a Sindh Assembly seat in 2013 elections for PS-112 on PTI ticket. By the grace of the Almighty Allah (SWT) and the voters of PS-112, I was victorious.
For five years as an opposition MPA, I was one of most active inside and outside the Sindh Assembly in raising the vital issues of Karachi and Sindh such as water, healthcare, education, policing and electricity load-shedding. In addition, I had the honor and privilege of being appointed by PTI Chairman Imran Khan to be PTI parliamentary leader in the Sindh Assembly and to be the only opposition candidate for Sindh Chief Minister Election against Murad Ali Shah.
